Main Street Meats
Main Street Meats is the result of a collaboration between local farmers and restauranteurs. The design includes a butcher counter area where the client sells quality local meats and ingredients and a restaurant that prepares meals highlighting those same ingredients for dine-in customers.
Built within two existing storefronts, the design focused on optimizing space and resources to enable the inclusion of a full-service butcher shop, kitchen and restaurant seating for 40 in only 3,000 sf. Using subway tile, raw steel and reclaimed wood, the result is a charming interior that redefines the classic butcher shop aesthetic into an active and inviting dining destination. The exterior scope, while limited, includes a canopy that functionally provides shade and shelter while evoking the character of an old train platform.
