Resolute, a leader in the forest products industry, offers a diverse range of products that include market pulp, tissue, wood products, newsprint and specialty papers. EMJ Corporation teamed with Tinker Ma to complete the architectural portion of a Design-Build contract for a new Converting Building located at Resolute’s Calhoun production facility.
Tinker Ma worked alongside EMJ’s team and a metal building manufacturer to design the 230,000-square-foot tissue production building. The project required the design of nine individual dock pits to receive 13 vertical storing dock levelers. Tinker Ma coordinated with structural engineers in the design of the facility’s slab to support the large amount of equipment required in the space.
