Vine Mixed Use
Chattanooga TN
Vine Street forms a critical link between the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus and downtown. The project site is currently comprised of surface parking lots and buildings in various conditions ranging from student housing to small retail establishments. It is anchored on the east by the campus with a new library and on the west by Fountain Square. The vision for these Vine Street properties is to incrementally redevelop the surface parking lots into street-fronting buildings with parking located behind. Market rate, five-story buildings with ground floor commercial uses could be built along Vine Street to create a safe and pleasant urban environment.
Our solution includes over 355,000 sf of habitable space, including approximately 45,000 sf of retail space, a five-star hotel, 400 housing units and structured parking for 450 cars. The urban street edge is maintained and the site is designed to accommodate multi-modal transportation. Interior courts provide opportunity for outdoor markets, street musicians, and neighborhood social events. The buildings blend both modern and traditional form and material throughout the two-block, five-acre site.
