Westside Evolves Master Plan

It has been an incredibly enriching opportunity for our team to be a part of the Westside Evolves Plan. In conjunction with Smith Gee Studio, EJP, the Chattanooga Design Studio and the Chattanooga Housing Authority, we conducted numerous community engagement activities, both virtually and safely in-person, to absorb the needs and visions of the Westside community members toward the goal of an actionable, community-based plan for revitalization of their neighborhood. These discussions led the creative team to then translate the needs into language of architecture and urban planning.

The project was awarded a Congress for New Urbanism Merit Award for the Emerging Project category in March 2022. We look forward to seeing this vision take shape and will advocate for more local neighborhoods to follow in Westside's footsteps, which in turn will benefit the larger community.
